Andrew Brier is General Manager, Coal & CSG Operations within DERM, the Department of Environment and Resource Management. In this role he's responsible for developing, leading and managing delivery of state-wide investigation and compliance activities relating to CSG production including potential groundwater impacts.
Andrew also heads the Queensland Government's LNG Enforcement Unit which has been established to investigate landholder concerns and enquiries about environmental, groundwater, gas safety and land access issues relating to CSG activities. He's involved in stakeholder/community liaison and communication in relation to CSG activities and is an experienced engineer with extensive history and experience in groundwater management.
