esg price, page-6

I was at a fund manager lunch today of a longstanding Aus equities manager. The head of (who I won't name but has a reasonably high profile) said he'd spoken to a number of brokers this morning who had been fielding requests over the last couple for calls on Aussie indexes and stocks from hedge funds. i.e. there is some chatter the hedge funds will be looking to drive the market higher over coming weeks, rather than lower (which we're all familiar with on ESG). His comments weren't stock specific, but it will be interesting to see if that plays out in the broader market (and perhaps, if we're lucky, maybe even ESG). Would be a welcome relief from all the short selling that's for sure! I'm not sure any of it is entirely ethical, either way.
