Hi Captn, interesting thing to note that there is a high % of shorting done at the start of one of these trends when the computer starts. eg i think Friday last week's short was about 25% of turnover.
But the overall % daily shorts reduces as the system is already "set" and once it becomes self perpetual, the computer itself doesn't need to continually push it's own shorts as the market does it for them via nervous investors and stops being triggered.
These are actually quite simple systems, however run sophisticated algorithms developed by smart operators with deep pockets. The systems aren't that difficult to develop, however you need the $$$ to run them with the associated risk.
