This price reduction is definitely a result of the JV Partner leaving for what ever reasons, this isn't just occuring in this share but is a broad spectrum occuring accross markets as the overall switch to clean coal usage and other cleaner forms of energy supply is seen by the industry as unsustainable and the majors cut and run from some what would have seemed good ventures.

But one thing about these industries is they won't take a loss for change unless they are subsidised in some form.

Therefore this sort of thing will continue accross the energy sector.
