I've found gaps useful, especially with high volume, in alerting me to trading ranges, support and resistance, I can easily 'fall in love' with a stock, I need constant reminders to trade what I see and not what I feel or even think. Alexander Elder I think it was talks about pilots learning to fly by their instruments and not where they THINK they might be.
I've made decisions based on second guessing....they usually don't come good.
The chart below is a zoom view of that gap area, I also find it interesting just where future gaps occur...
