    TPM and Cellulite Reduction.

Wednesday, May 18th - SLINKY ME BLOG

I noticed the other day that applications for the 2012 Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year are now open. Who can forget those distinctive yellow labels and I have to admit being fairly partial to "the Widow" champagne in past years. Past because who can afford it today, even with the Australian Dollar through the roof.

I thought that this time I would nominate Dr Esra Ogru who is now the CEO of the pharmaceutical company Phosphagenics. Phosphagenics is commercialising drug delivery applications based on its novel transdermal (drugs administered via the skin) TPM (Targeted Penetration Matrix) technology. TPM is a patient friendly and cost effective system used to deliver proven pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products through the skin.

The lead product advancing through clinical trials is an oxycodone matrix system for the relief of chronic pain. Right behind it is the Elixia range of products which also uses the TPM technology to deliver highly effective fat dissolving agents deep within the skin, an absolute breakthrough in cellulite treatment.

Dr Ogru has many years experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries working in development and senior management roles. She has over ten years of experience in the management and coordination of pre-clinical and clinical development of pharmaceutical products. She is currently overseeing trials of the Elixia range of products in New York. (Not too sure about that last sentence, can anyone confirm this? Oscar)

My guess is that there are several million women around the world who agree that if anyone deserves the title of Business Women of the year it has to be Dr Ogru for her cellulite reduction breakthrough.

    GREAT NEW CELLULITE BREAKTHROUGH

    Tuesday May 17th

It is not often that something on the evening news makes you sit up and really take notice but it seems that Australian researchers have come up with a new cellulite treatment cream that really works.

I am preparing a full report on this product which I hope to have on the site tomorrow but in summary there are actually two breakthroughs combined together. If you have been reading my posts you will have seen that I have been fairly sceptical about rub-on solutions for cellulite treatment.

However this new cream, Elixia, by Phospagenics, combines a fat dissolving substance (AOP9604) with a new method of delivery that penetrates the skin 5 times deeper than anything else out there. (AOP stands for anti-obesity peptide). Also in the mix is two well known and widely used anti-fat agents, caffeine and forskolin.

For the past several months Elixia has been undergoing clinical test in New York and the results have been amazing. After 28 days of application, the visible appearance of cellulite was measurably reduced by as much as 40 percent where it had been applied. The improvements were visibly noticeable to the participants in the study, with 86 percent of women reporting a perceived improvement to the visible appearance of the bumps and dimples of their cellulite.

What is also important is that 96 percent of the trial participants saw an improvement in skin firmness and smoothness, while 93 percent saw an increase in skin tightness. Measurable skin hydration was increased by 20 percent and elasticity increased by five percent over the course of the four weeks, the company said.

So there you have it, just about all of the factors that cause cellulite are addressed by this new cream. If you are not sure what those factors are go to my "the best cellulite treatment" page. Watch for my in-depth review of this product on my pages about cellulite treatments.
