Damaged well? I would suggest you state how you see it this way, as that is not what i was informed of, there is no damage and the wells have been cased in to trap the gas, which would otherwise be escaping - the fracking improves gas flow, and has worked wonders on nearby wells with identicle formation/sands.
I think you are reading too much into why fracking occurs in genral, it is not employed only for damaged wells.
DYOR and perhaps call the company Norton for your own explanation, rather than guessing that damage is why we are doing the frac ;-).
