UMC will need to do a deal with one of the majors, so if it does a deal in relation to camp hill, RIO wont deal with UMC purely because they have a relationship with BHP (from an iron ore perspective)

In relation to Mitchell Plateau, my guess is UMC are going to challenge RIO on the basis that they have been sitting on mitchell plateau for years and done nothing with it and may result in the government handing it over (not for nothing though)

the idea of UMC entering a JV or having an agreement with RIO re bauxite is a bit idealistic

I doubt RIO is going to do a deal with a company who has a JV with Norsk (a major competitor) and a relationship with BHP.
