Agreed. They will have over $2b in the bank as at 31 December, and have the capital management framework now in place.
I don’t see why there is a need to hold off on a dividend as part of the full year results when they can easily pay a 10c now, completely in line with their policy. There will be sufficient franking credits in place for this to be payable in March/ April.
