Thursday edition of "The Call" had broker discussion on Dusk. Worth listening to with a hold and buy recommendation. General consensus is the company is very well run and continually kicking goals- Like for like sales and online growth being big ticks. Shaw and Partners who were JLM on the IPO have a buy at $3.60ish.
There has been a number of discussions relating to a potential NZ expansion. Not knowing the NZ market I can't find any pure play retailers that are doing what Dusk do. From what I can see the main NZ candle plays are:
1. Living Light Candles- Stockists and online
2. Candle Crush- Online
3. Lucy King -Stockists and online
4. Neve- Stockists and online
5. Studio Milk - Stockists and online
6. Waxglo- Stockists and online
7. French and Flicker- online
8. Surmanti- Online and store front
There are also Australian candle companies shipping to NZ.
A quick look at each of the above mentioned businesses shows they all sell the same ranges of products covered by Dusk. I would be sure that there would be some level of brand awareness in NZ of Dusk and can imagine that the physical store front in major shopping precincts will be a deciding advantage in capturing market.
My view is currently fair value for Dusk is mid $4s
