    I'm interested in this discussion. The essential question is:
    Are these coals worthless or extremely valuable? It's hard to see an in between scenario.
    If they are the wrong types of coals they are worthless, I'd be interested in some expert opinion as to the odds of that being the case.
    IMO recent statements by CTP indicate that they feel that they don't need to wait for drilling to be certain that they can make money from gtl and that indicates that they think they have the right sort of coal. It seems to me that they want the drilling to tell them how many $$$$$ they can get.
    I could be misinterpreting or they could be wrong, but in support of my hunch, they were recently asking for assistance in building a plant with a 100 year life. (The link was posted on hotcopper in the last few weeks)

    In regard to the other Australian csg players, I don't think their availability will matter if there is a massive resource to be sold. An international partner is more than likely to be found if there are billions to be made.
