I think that quote is very relevant to this one from Poyndexter:
"Something left field like a BHP, BP, Caltex, Santos or the like might be a possibility for CTP's UCG aspirations, but I think they would T/O one of the more advanced existing players first?"
The definite existence of a vast amount of coal differentiates CTP from other players, so while the majors would normally want to get involved with more advanced players, it's possible that the sheer size of the CTP resource will be even more attractive, particularly as the cost of getting involved after the resource is fully proved would be prohibitive even for them. I suspect that Tom Fontaine believes this to be true.
