Thanks Tshirt. The original NSAi estimate was based largely on seismic amplitude variations projected laterally together with some understanding of the thickness of the reservoir units. The estimate spanned an order of magnitude due to all the uncertainties and assumptions. And that was really a guess because whoe knew for certain what was causing those increased amplitudes.
In terms of the size of the resource, I am just wondering how one well can really clarify things. OK it can confirm the composition and also the column thickness, but I fail to understand how it tells you anything about the lateral extent-you still need to guess at that don't you. Anyway, as the article I posted suggests, looks like it will still be a bit of a guess for now..I guess that's what the follow up appraisal wells will clarify.
