I didn't expect too many responses to an etiquette question in this forum.
A cat on a table is one of the many reasons I dislike cats.
True Story:
One time I came home and noticed what appeared to be cordial on the kitchen bench. I rubbed my finger in the liquid and tasted it to see what it was and at the exact same moment I heard a cat meow. Somehow a cat had sneaked in the house. I have been mentally traumatized ever since.
