etpmag - etf - read the prospectus

The PM bull market will mean a lot of new investors will use ETF Securities (e.g. ETPMAG for silver) as their investment vehicle.

Make sure you download AND read the prospectus at:

In particular, you should ensure you understand the role of the Custodian (HSBC NA).

Then, read section 5.4 Custody and Insurance. This details the Sub-Custodians and the RISKS involved.

Before you proceed with any Buy order, google each of the Custodians & Sub-custodians, including "silver short sale" in your search.

You then need to decide whether you would rather hold Allocated metal e.g. via PMDS and Bullion Vault, or an ETF.

Note: I do hold a small ETPMAG position for short-term trading only. My LT Buy Sentiment is toward Silver - Ag in physical form.
