Months back I transferred all my shares from E*Trade to Bell Direct. Probably will never go back to E*trade due the fear of these problems again. I also use commsec and found downtime either in commsec or in Bell Direct. Now most of the time I use belldirect as brokerage charge is lowest, 15$.
