Not exactly a New Trader question, but does anyone know how to assign a cost for share placements on holdings in ETrade that weren't actually purchased through Etrade?
For example, I've subscribed to a couple of share placements, paid my money and got the new shares showing up in my Portfolio view. But the shares are showing up as a $0.00 cost basis. I can't see how they are going on an historical basis and can't see anywhere where I can specify how much I paid for them?
This is specifically within the "Portfolio" drop down - I know I could create a WatchList and duplicate my holdings data and get the numbers.
