    Yes it's working for me now too in Germany. I rang them and put through a few limit orders to take advantage of the free brokerage and also suggested that if they were under attack that they could ask customers for IP ranges and or identify their IPs from account logs and block all other incoming connections.

    I'd still keep all IPs used by Russian servers blocked by default. On my own web server in Germany it reduces attacks by 95%.

    E*Trade's still technically down in a lot of locations overseas according to downornot.com, so I'd suggest if you still having problems, check your IP address at http://www.whatsmyip.org and ask E*Trade if the range is blocked...

    Hotcopper also provides this detail on each message...

    I'll keep checking here if people are still having problems. I have another idea to solve it.
