For the life of me I can't understand why anyone who trades stocks instread of long term investors would use any bank or etrade platform.
Hardly a week goes by where there aren't compaints about technical issues for one or the other, more often then not compaints about E-Trade
I've been using IB for almost 7 years now, and not once have I ever had a technical issue with their platform (desktop or mobile) and not once been unable to execute a trade.
