Etrade= sell orders no problem, buy orders have

to be handled by a trading specialists.

I log in to buy, click Preview Order and get this message :

Opening orders for this security cannot be accepted online at this time. For assistance with placing this order, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-ETRADE-1 (1-800-387-2331).

But, you can sell on-line all you want.

Whoever calls and asks why, also ask if you have to call back to change your Bid amount too. Because technically, this should be an "open order", allowing you to execute this on-line.
