    I just signed up to eTrade last week and have been trying to make a couple of trades today.

    Really pretty poor for a trading site to be down for hours on end. I'm not sure how often this happens, given I'm new to the site.

    In any case an internet trading website can't have hours of downtime when people are relying on it.

    I'll probably just stick to commsec/CMC.
