Good to read the EU committees have been very busy RE recent weeks:

"Dear REIA members and stakeholders,
On Wednesday 14 July, REIA participated in the ERMA cluster meeting on rare earth magnets and motors. REIA members Minviro and Grundfos presented sustainability as a key issue for the whole Rare Earth value chain. They emphasized the need for an internationally accepted standard to measure the sector’s environmental impact. Robert Pell, Director at Minviro, highlighted REIA's efforts in developing Product Category Rules for REEs, a much-needed initiative to build a global framework across the industry. Dr Badrinath Veluri, REIA’s president, emphasized sustainability throughout the whole RE value chain as a global issue, not just a European or an Asian one, and insisted that efforts and collaboration are needed at a global level.
In this week’s lead article, REIA member KU Leuven – SOLVOMET researchers developed a new process to recover rare-earth metals from end-of-life NdFeB magnets, using an oxidative ionic liquid.
UK based Critical Minerals Association has just published a report on responsible sourcing of critical minerals. The paper intends to help navigate the complex landscape of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues in mining."

Gotta wonder who cleans up after these "cluster meetings"?
