I was looking at buying a property that is on the market for $1 million and almost got it. I was able to convince the owner that the property market in Australia will collapse like it has overseas and that the economy is in such a bad shape that if he didnt take my offer of $500,000 now he would be regretting it.

Unfortunately the bank valuation came in at $975,000 so now he wont sell it to me. Damn!!!!!! just my luck

Bottom line is the last announcement from SDL stated that amongst other things the reason for the delay was to digest the increase in the resource reserves and not to talk about the market conditions, so it is quite possible that negotiations are around a higher price.
