Hi,
Politicians from our multi party system with a 3 year view are always keen to avoid unpopular decisions, especially as we always seem to have an opposition who feels it is their job to oppose everything.
Being a responsible, honorable corporate citizen makes future growth plans much easier to achieve. It comes down to risk versus reward. If you can achieve your aims in a cooperative manner, long term, where is the profit in rocking the boat, and thereby slamming you may want to use in the future?
We can but speculate for now, and I hope we'll all have a clearer view of the future when we've read and digested Don's letter.
