@tully7; what I object to is legalised bully-boy tactics which strip people of their basic rights.
Using QR codes to gain access to premises is different altogether to being hauled aside at an airport and forced to undergo a strip search or to hand over your phone because of your Middle Eastern appearance and the prejudices of those with authority.
You don't have to be Einstein to work out whose homes are invaded by Border Force and whose homes will never ever be subject to such searches.
Re 'illegal workers', Morrison's modern day version of Kanaka labor is another strategy aimed at enabling business people to exploit and to underpay workers.
