    In July 2017, the European Commission asked the EU Member States to update their assessments of critical raw materials in order to produce an updated list. This review is currently being carried out at the national level by each Member State. The Commission will then take into consideration any changes made when updating the previous list in October 2018 based on new data submitted by the Member States under Regulation.
