Hi Sot. Just wondering am i understanding Cre correctly. I think it clicked after reading that write up. Cre in itself is mainly used for its ability to show itself in tissue by changing the colour of that tissue.
The use that i think i was missing is that if we were to develop a fpp that were targetted to a certain organ, say kidney, then with fpp and cre attached we can deliver the conjugate to the body and then look for the colour change in the targetted organ as definitive proof it hit the target and was absorbed..
I was wondering why it appeared to be a big thing yet i didnt get the significance. I guess the value is in its ability to show we did actually access the targetted cells. Obviously a big deal as far as development and proof of delivery to potential clients. Originally i thought what is so good about something that just changes cell colours. Im a bit slow but i like to think i get there eventually.
