Must also take into account the tax benefit realised when a stock is held for longer than 1 year, the money i saved/made through this approach on AUT is phenomenal. Not to mention the money saved on brokerage fees and also more time spent actually reserching the stock and other stocks, than charts and contiually watching the SP througout the day.

You also have to remember that before the bear market AUT's rise was meteoric in a relivly short period of time, .15c gains each week were not un common and i remember alot of traders being caught out of the stock at the time of these rises.

At times like these though its not a bad idea to have a separate short term trading account to take advantage of the wild swings, while keeping your main investment account for tax benefits.
