The U.S. Department of Transportation said this week it would move to reverse former President Trump's rule meant to block states from setting their own tough car pollution standards, setting the stage for a return of broader power to California to fight climate change. The proposal would restore California's authority to set greenhouse gas emission standards for vehicles, as well as require car companies to sell more electric vehicles."
