Tesla doing a 5 billion dollar capital raise, also IPOs and capital raises by Geely, Xpeng, Nio etc will accelerate EV production capacity expansions and therefore production & sales. Car plants must run at around 80 % capacity utilization to be profitable and car makers usually sell every car they produce. Also Toyota says global sales and production recovered to 90 percent of previous year’s level in July 2020. Toyota produced over 10 million cars last year.
