Batteries still a bottleneck but not EV demand

"On the sidelines of the Enyaq presentation, the Skoda Austria boss said the car was a “big, big milestone” in a YouTube interview, He explained, however, that one cannot deliver enough because the world market for batteries is currently limited. Initially, only around 2,000 units are apparently expected for the Austrian market. The plant in the Czech Republic should be able to produce an estimated 70,000 to 80,000 in total, and an increase in capacity is already planned.

The battery bottleneck should also be a reason for the temporary end or the order stop for the bestseller e-Up. “Due to the skyrocketing demand for e-vehicles, we decided to buy the e-Up! with current delivery times of 16 months temporarily from the order offer ”, a VW spokesman told ecomento.de."

This thing is also coming 2021 or 2022. I think it will be called ID.6.

I think the ID.1 will come 2023. EV sales growth and lithium demand will just take off that we can't imagine it.

None of the OEMs scale back their EV investment plans, instead many of them accelerate their initiatives.
