    Depends on how robust the relevant Electric car is.

    If the body and electric motor/s have a long-life span, say for the sake of scenario, 15 years plus, then it may just require a replacement battery.

    If only the body is robust, then the electric motor/s and the battery may need replacement.

    Also, any difficulty and cost in any replacements as you have pointed out.

    Therefore, market demand and design efficiencies may be an answer this.

    The above may depend on the individual Electric Car manufacturer and the market.

    The above would be the factors I would be looking out for when making a purchase.

    As far as cost goes for the above exercise, these costs may also go down as the Electric Vehicle numbers go up.

    Then all the so-called, “classes” may have access to Electric cars and possibly a longer term of ownership.
