It was also mentioned that their "unified cell", basically a form factor and maybe more that eneables the flexible use of different battery chemistries like NCM, NCA and LFP lithium-ion batteries will also be compatible with solid-state battery chemistries. It was also stated that VW group so far has secured about 30 % of its "critical battery materials" supply until 2030.(earlier it was stated 100 % secured until 2026). So that means we might see numerous long-term deals being announced soon, because there are always long lead times for these kind of supply deals to lead to concrete supplies.
