A journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step.

That ship is being built to last for decades. No one knows what the Argentine grid will look like in 20 or 30 years, but South Australia could be a good example. 20 years ago, SA got 0% of its electricity from renewable sources. 20 years later it now gets over 2/3 from renewables and it plans to get over 100% with the next 10 years. Like South Australia, Argentina has huge solar and wind resources and limited fossil fuel resources, so there’s a reasonable prospect it could follow a similar path. By the time that ship is ready for retirement, it and the others that follow could be running on entirely renewable electricity.
