I’d counter that by saying, “What Electric car, (EV) owner needs a service station?”
Unless it is a hybrid needing petrol as well.
As far as an EV goes – Does the oil need checking, Nope.
Does the radiator need checking? Nope.
An EV owner may want an electric tire pump in the boot that can be connected to the EV via a cigarette lighter output or something similar in the EV.
A sponge in the boot to clean the windscreen with access to any clean water.
As far as the actual charging goes, the EV may have access to charges at home, in shopping centers, hotels/motels, along streets and is expanding in locations.
So, even as charging times are being shortened due to ongoing advances in batteries and charging, charging may not be considered an issue as well?
However,
The above may be seen as a threat to the lifespan of service stations.
