and because I saw this question come up on twitter, the amount of installed batteries in GWh in 2023 was roughly the same as the amount of produced battery cells in GWh. (at least as far as anyone can compile accurate numbers) It would be normal for battery cell production to exceed installations to a certain extent in a certain calendar year, because there is an upwards trend in demand.
