It's a shame that CATL chose to quote volumetric energy density (Wh/L) instead of the normal Wh/kg for their new product. It took a bit of searching but eventually I did find that although 430 Wh/L might be ok for LFP batteries production NMC cells are well above 700 Wh/L now with several Jeff Dahn NCM811 cells around 1200 Wh/L (550 Wh/kg) and a prototype cell on 1653 Wh/L (711 Wh/kg).
Of course all sorts of energy density are unimportant for stationary storage and CATL should be applauded for producing their system with a life of over 15K cycles and no degradation for its 1st 5 years but the cynical part of me suggests that any conservatively speced system can do that with just some software adjustments.
