Please Elon, we like Power Walls and Megapacks but the real game changer for home consumers (and IMO power retailers as well) will be V2X on Teslas and continuously variable TOU power tariffs. The Koreans are halfway there but they can't do it by themselves, a V2X standard needs to be introduced compatible with your NACS plug and the western world will follow. Initially China may not for their domestic market but they will have to for exports so eventually it will just be easier for everyone to use the same standard. No matter where it is plugged in V2X will allow an owner determined proportion of an EV battery to be utilised as part of the power grid (for a suitable renumeration) to smooth out the demand/supply equation that is becoming more difficult with the phase out of coal fired power.
