I'd assume those estimates are based on a reasonable lithium price. At current prices, supply is already coming off market so any surplus could disappear.
At these prices, Mt Caitlin is probably stockpiling a lot of material instead of selling and could go into C&M. New operations like Liontown suddenly look much worse at this price point also. They would barely be in profit once you factor in the typical start up issues.
