Exactly - I was just about to post this statistic.
It accounts nicely for the variation in the timing of CNY break between this year and last year.
“Cumulative retail sales of passenger NEVs in China so far this year totaled 1.214 million units, up 38 percent from the same period last year.”
Imo then the real question/observation is: what happens if that continues…? Wouldn’t that see over 13M units sold in China this year..? Surely that would feed nicely into Stephan’s 18-19M global sales forecast..? Early days still, sure, but seems on track to me.
