While I don't have an exact global lithium production figure for 2023, there is a demand and supply forecast for 2024:
"Fastmarkets research forecasts a surplus of 3,800 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) in 2024, with demand at 1,210,700 tonnes of LCE and supply at 1,214,500 tonnes of LCE."

The surplus for 2024 as forecasted would be tiny. My guess is that last year demand and supply where both roughly 1 million tonnes (with significant inventories in the supply chain at the beginning of the year but without knowing the exact amount).This is also what Benchmark Mineral Intelligence forecasted in Q2 2023. They also have a similar forecast for 2024 as fastmarkets. Considering the huge number of new EV products available this year I remain positive for sales this year. Even Benchmark who forecasted a slightly bigger surplus for this year said that it could easily swring into a deficit if some projects face delays or ramp up problems.
