Lol. Rare earths aren't rare @kingpins, they were just called that when they were first discovered - mostly because the chemistry back then wasn't up to separating them properly.
Rare earths are quite plentiful in the earth's crust - some are more abundant even than Copper.
Lithium isn't a rare earth at all - it's a metal, and it's more abundant in the earth's crust than metals you would consider abundant like copper, nickel or zinc.
