So came across this interview of the Northern Graphite CEO. Around the 20min 45sec mark he refers to Balama graphite (not by name but pretty obvious he's referring to SYR) and states that SYR graphite is being sold only into the refractory market because the quality is unacceptable to auto makers. The inference being it was a fundamental problem with the graphite that couldn't be changed.
Sounded a lot like shameless self-promotion of Northern Graphite product but does make me wonder if there is anything more to it....
Interested in any thoughts and insights anyone may have?
