I first experienced "range anxiety" when I bought my first smartphone. Before I had a trusty Nokia, which lasted 10 days, so I charged it once a week. Then my smartphone would barely last a day - and I had to learn to put it on charge every day, and also each time I went into a hotel, lounge, etc and now when I travel I carry a battery pack to charge my phone, my wife's phone, watch and iPad (and of course 3 cables because they all have different connectors!). I don't know what chemistry is used in the batteries for these gadgets, but I certainly look forward to the next version with better range, and also for standardisation.
