Sure Acorn if that is your study area, then the largest number of commuter cars can with sensible management run on rechargeable batteries.
People who live outside the metropolitan areas may or may not be able to use electric.
They may need two vehicles, one petrol/diesel for longer range.
THE PROBLEM
Is not people but goods.
Freight transport from the A Double to the tradies is are not addressed by EVs.
Everybody needs and uses transported goods.
Pineapples from Qld, mangoes from WA, salmon from Hobart, toilet tissue from SA.
