    Wow . What a rant !

    Why do we need nuclear again ? That sounds like a pretty unresearched opinion to me . Nuclear has missed it's opportunity in Australia and in many other modern countries . Happy to discuss that one .

    What's Norway got to do with anything ? They get 98% of their power from hydro . That's something we simply can't do .

    Renewables don't work ? Look at the global investment comparison .

    Yes , we still will need oil for the chemical industry . But we won't be burning it and just using it once . Plastics are very recyclable . Imagine getting several uses out of a litre of oil as opposed to just burning it once and it's gone forever .
    Also , if we were only using fossil for chemicals , fertiliser etc we would literally never run out . As opposed to burning it where it is gone for good .
    We used to burn wood for energy a couple of hundred years ago . How did that go ?
