@1ronnie - I also have foreign language classics - will write to my friends and relatives - and just lighten them a bit at a time.

At the moment I am re-reading 'Hitchhiker's Guide' much used paperback copies, they can go in the bin after. Collection of cheaply bound Shakespeare plays, a lot of speciality books (herbals, gardening, hiking books, cooking, architecture, art, history, myths - you name it, I'll have a book on it).
I also go to a Senior 'Learning Centre' who take a few books - but just a few at a time, and the odd collection on a certain topic will go on E-bay (handicraft, gardening and such) - but I believe there is a yearly jumble sale, might take a few there. I am dealing with them, shelf by shelf.
but then I also have close to 120 paintings (by a fellow poster @NoBoDe), but only 50 on the walls . . . .
AND in the last days of the Britannica in their printed incarnation, I stupidly bought the whole set (World Books and all) - mean to get through them before I die . . . . need to live to 100!!!
. . . and investment books I never read from cover to cover, (as is obvious frown.png).
Good Luck - if you have any ideas, let me know please!
and G. HELP me, I keep buying . . . and have written one, 200 pristine copies still sitting at home - but they might go, have finally cracked the Amazon.com selling set-up/method, which is very complicated.
