...China is the centre for global production of EVs for the world market - which explains why the EU car makers aren't all excited about EU tariffs.
...Tesla and EU car makers want to make them in China, because that's the only way they can compete with Chinese EVs on level playing field as China has cheaper energy, labour, critical minerals, batteries and a large domestic market that has readily embraced EVs.
...which means most of the lithium for EVs will be consumed within China. And global auto makers rejoice for access to cheap lithium and batteries to produce their EVs cheaply to reach desired price parity with ICE vehicles.
...lithium's loss is EVs gain. I told you this many months ago.
