Indonesia: A new destination for Australia's #Lithium.
May 2024 marked the first time in Port Hedland's history that #spodumene was shipped to Indonesia. It coincided with the commissioning of Chengxin #Lithium's 60,000 tonne LCE plant in June 2024.
'ChengTok'- located in Sulawesi, Indonesia is the largest plant of its kind outside of China. With Indonesia becoming a key player in the #EV#Battery supply chain, one would expect more #lithium to be exported to Indonesia.
It could also explain why Chengxin expanded & extended offtake agreements with @PilbaraMinerals
at the start of this year.
