...its a shame [actually not] that Elon took this path.

...Elon's tenure in Trump 2.0 won't last very long as the knives are out for him.

...then he would have ruined his brand capital along with the power he lusted for so much.

Tesla's brand destruction will be studied in universities and featured in history books.

Elon cultists and $TSLA all-ins are clinging to the hope that conservatives are going to buy EVs - replacing the progressive market, but it's not the right way to look at it.

Cars are not supposed to be political.

It's true that progressives are more inclined to buy EVs, but even if a significant percentage of conservatives do buy Tesla vehicles, Tesla is still screwed because it alienated roughly half the market.

How many companies you know are doing well after doing that? Tesla is basically the new MyPillow.

Elon dissolved Tesla's PR team to become the company's only official mouthpiece – making it hard to dissociate him from Tesla, and then he became highly political – dragging Tesla into it.

Then, he literally used his wealth from Tesla, selling stocks, to finance the most controversial US politician ever. That alone is ridiculously stupid for Tesla. Then, add a couple salutes, highly problematic tweets, messy DOGE, etc.

It is hard to comprehend that $TSLA all-ins are still trying to spin this as a positive for Tesla. They are standing by while Tesla's brand is being destroyed—and I'm the one being called a "Tesla hater."
